Metamorphoses

We headed over to St. Paul to catch the last performance of Metamorphoses, staged by Theatre Pro Rata.  I was fortunate enough to see one of the first stagings of this show, if the not first, by Looking Glass in Chicago my senior year of college (spring 2001, I think).
I am an admittedly bad theatre-goer.  [...]

Luck on a traditionally bad day

My mom has a perpetual calendar hanging in her kitchen.  But, instead of marking birthdays and anniversaries and such, it’s marked with “Judy Heart attack”, “Janine’s death”, etc. etc.
I’ve got three on the calendar–February 14th (Allegra – Graves Disease) and April 5th and 7th (Allegra – back surgery).

And don’t hang up on your boss.
Otherwise, some temp is going to transcribe your phone conversation and wonder if you [...]

Expendable

Is how I feel this evening.  It shouldn’t be a secret to any faithful blog reader that I’ve been through some tough stuff in the past few months.  I haven’t felt the need to go into all details about what is weighing on me, and I don’t now, either.  I know that my Graves’ is [...]
