I banged out some edits on the show and wrote the “epilogue” section of Tipping the Bucket today. It feels good. I think I dig it.
Last Wednesday Anthony came over to, like, rehearse. He asked what my process usually is once I get the script done.
“Well, I usually do a few showcases and see how some of the sections feel when I speak them. Then I go to my tech rehearsal and tell the technician “just make me look nice up here”. And then I run the show once and Zoe tells me not to speak so fast. And then the show opens.”
He just kinda shook his head.
And then we spent nearly an hour on three minutes’ worth of material. And…I liked it. And realized that there’s a long way to go in terms of staging and stuff.
But it’s cool. Nearly feels like a real show.
